5 Reasons to Live in West Bremerton

I was recently hired to list a home in West Bremerton, what a treat! With easy commute access to almost everything, West Bremerton is a great place to call home. With views of the Olympic Mountains, plenty of weekend activities, access to water sports, fantastic cafes and breweries,  I knew this home would sale FAST. Just check out this video and you too will fall in love with this great community.

5 Reasons:

  1.  Easy commute to the Bremerton Ferry (easy commute to Seattle) and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard

Need an easy commute to work or play day in Seattle. The Bremerton Ferry is only a few minutes away. You can leave your car at the ferry dock for parking ease or bring your car along for a fun day in Seattle. If you are a Puget Sound Naval Shipyard employee, this is a great area to live for an easy commute to work!

  1. Olympic mountains and Phinney Bay & close to Oyster Bay

West Bremerton is a 30 minute drive to the Hood Canal, which is your gateway to the beautiful Olympic Mountains! If you’re anything like me and love the great outdoors, this area is perfect for easy commuting to camping and hiking all over the area.

Store your boat in the Phinney Bay at Bremerton Yacht club. Don’t own a boat, you can still enjoy watching the boat parades from a distance or spend the day kayaking in one of the bays.

  1. Amy’s decadent chocolates

Yes, this gets its own category because CHOCOLATE! This chocolate store is home to some of the best chocolate creations we have ever tasted. A personal favorite is the, butterfinger crunch caramel apple and the award wining peanut butter cups. This is our go to place for  gifts as well. Make sure to stop in and check it out!

  1. Craft Breweries

We all know that PNW is home to some of the best breweries in the nation. Luckily, West Bremerton is home to a few of those breweries! Here is a short list with some of our favorites:

* Bad Bulldogs Brewery

* Der Blokken Brewery

* LoveCraft Brewing co.

* Silvercity Brewery and Taproom

* Dog Days Brewing

  1. Robust Parks and indoor/outdoor activities

We already mentioned the hiking and boating activities but another added bonus is the abundance of parks, recreational sports, museums, concerts and even a drive-in theater!

Illahee State Park is a 75 acre recreational park with plenty of space for hiking and picnicking. The summer brings out the best in this park with all the opportunities for water sports!

I don’t know about you guys, but going to the DRIVE-IN THEATER is my favorite childhood memory. Imagine watching your favorite movie under the stars with your family in this awesome theater. Check it out!
