Leavenworth, WA – /Oktoberfest!

It’s easy to see why so many Pacific Northwesters make the trek up to the picturesque town of Leavenworth every October. As I stepped into the quaint town of Leavenworth, WA I was immediately assaulted by the sounds, spells, and overall awesomeness of a crisp fall day in WA state. Up in the mountains, hundreds gathered to try their favorite beers, pretend they were in Germany, and enjoy a weekend getaway while celebrating Oktoberfest!

Easily accessible from Gig Harbor, at just under three hours, over the beautiful Snoqualmie Pass, Leavenworth provides an opportunity to get out of town. While there you will be surrounded by the most beautiful mountains and the Wenatchee River running alongside the town. We took a walk along the river path and saw so many salmon making their way upstream.

Of course, you must have a pretzel, brat and beer upon arrival! Also, there are so many shops to browse, not to mention WINE tasting rooms! I highly suggest making the trip to Leavenworth as I am positive you will not be disappointed!
